In April 2006, Tyne Valley was awarded the BCU Club Mark and Top Club. This was achieved by the club by demonstrating that we are a wall managed child friendly, safe and equitable club that supports its members and events held by other clubs within the region. Pictured is the club gathering for a day’s activity prior to receiving the award. During the day the club organised a card board canoe race which proved a highlight of the days programme. The club continues to be recognised by Canoe England as a Top Club.
