Young Paddlers

At TVCC we very much support and actively use the new BCU award scheme called Paddlepower. This is a programme that is designed to meet the needs of young people and develop a wide range of paddlesport skills. For more information about this contact paddlepower@bcu.org.uk.

The Canoe England Cadet Leadership Programme is becoming popular at TVCC. This is an award scheme that encourages young paddlers to become leaders. It is really encouraging to see young paddlers develop in this side of the sport.

A really popular area of paddlesport for juniors if the Wavehopper Challenge, which is a series of events that provide training and skill development, as well as, experience in competition in Wild water Racing. For more information about these events have a look at the club events calendar or visit the Canoe England North East region at www.canoenortheast.org.uk. There is also some photographs of one such event at Slenningford Watermill on our Gallery page.

Child Protection

As part of TVCC's committment to safeguard and promote the interests and well being of children with the club and in a child-friendly environment, the Tyne Valley Canoe Club does operate a Child Protection and Harassment Policy.
